Brett A. Williams joined Peterson & Associates,
P.C. in March 2009. Prior to joining the firm,
he was a principal at the St. Louis law firm of
Brown & James, P.C., one of the largest litigation
firms in Missouri, where he practiced law for over
seven years. While at Brown & James, P.C., he
gained valuable experience defending corporations
and individuals in a wide variety of cases,
including products liability, truck accidents, and
other personal injury cases. Mr. Williams has
argued before the Missouri Supreme Court and the
Missouri Court of Appeals.
Mr. Williams graduated from Villanova University
with a Bachelors of Arts in 1997. He graduated
from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of
Law in 2000. Prior to joining Brown & James,
P.C., Mr. Williams clerked for the Honorable
Lawrence Crahan at the Missouri Court of Appeals.
Mr. Williams is a member in good standing of the
Missouri Bar and the California Bar. He is
also a member in good standing of the United States
Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States
District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri,
and the United States District Court for the Western
District of Missouri. Mr. Williams' practice
focuses on plaintiffs' personal injury including
products liability, truck and other motor vehicle
accidents and class actions.
Peter G. Collins
Peter is a 2009 Kansas and Missouri
Super Lawyer indicating that he was identified by his
peers as being in the top 5% of all lawyers in Kansas
and Missouri. Peter joined Peterson &
Associates after eighteen years as a defense lawyer,
most recently as a partner with the firm of Sanders,
Warren & Russell, LLP. As a defense
lawyer Peter’s practice focused on the defense of health
care providers in medical malpractice actions and other
complex litigation. Peter has tried
to verdict as first chair attorney over 20 cases in
which the demand requested during trial exceeded one
million dollars. He has
also made numerous appellate arguments in appellate
courts in Kansas and Missouri.

Aaron J. Cooper
Aaron J. Cooper joined Peterson &
Associates, P.C. in March of 2010. Before joining the
firm, he was a law clerk for the Hon. Kelly J. Moorhouse,
Hon. Thomas C. Clark, and Hon. Joel F. May in Division 9
of the Jackson County Circuit Court. Clerking provided
Mr. Cooper with invaluable litigation and courtroom
experience.
Mr. Cooper graduated
from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor
of Arts in Political Science in 2003. He graduated from
the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in
2007.
Mr. Cooper is a member
in good standing of the Missouri Bar and the Kansas Bar.
His practice focuses on representing injured victims of
automobile accidents, slip and falls, and other
occurrences resulting in personal injuries.
