Approved by the FDA in 1998, Herceptin was quickly linked to fatalities and serious complications despite the belief that Herceptin would extend the survival rate of cancer patients. An estimated 25,000 cancer patients have used Herceptin. Fatal anaphylaxis, infusion reactions leading to possible death, and pulmonary events occurred because of the use of Herceptin.

Side Effects
